Carol Horton, DVM
I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian by the time I was 7 or 8 years old. I read all the “James Harriot” books multiple times and would try to “save” any injured critters, even a field mouse that promptly bit me! Despite that, my love for animals continued to grow.
I use my 30+ years of experience to help make the best decisions for diagnostics and treatment of your pets. I strive to provide superior pet care by being able to see complicated cases and offer treatment to improve and extend their quality of life. I listen to what is most important to the client and the pet.
I love being greeted by our social butterflies and will also take time for our more reserved patients to warm up by offering tasty treats. My special areas of interest are dentistry, dermatology, ophthalmology, and urgent care.
My pets are my best friends! Walking my dog, Frannie, at the end of the day is how I unwind and reflect on the ups and downs of my day. My family also includes 2 geriatric cats and 2 kitty trouble makers, Quincy and Murphy. I love spending time hiking and traveling with my adult daughters and husband who is also a veterinarian.
